Privileged to be a High School Mentor for FLL Team - Rainbow Robots





 I took part in FLL as part of Team - Legotrons and our team won the Western WA State FLL Championship. I am privileged to re-connect with FLL - this time as a High School mentor for Team- Rainbow Robots of Seattle. I am sharing the lessons learnt, tips and tricks to do well in this effort and I am thorougly enjoying my time as a STEM volunteer in the community through FLL Robotics.I wish the team the very best for Dec-6 Regional at Ballard High School and Thank you for offering me this mentoring opportunity

Fueling Our Future: K12 Educator Conference

Please join Facing the Future and other educators from the Pacific Northwest this summer for an interdisciplinary exploration of sustainable energy use! Sign up today — spaces limited.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 29th | 9 am to 5 pm
WHERE: The Impact HUB | 220 2nd Avenue S #106 Seattle, WA 98104
WHO: Educators who work with students from grades 3 to 12
COST: $30 includes lunch and Fueling Our Future curriculum unit (grades 3-5, 6-8, or 9-12)
CLOCK HOURS: 6 clock hours available for an additional $20
HOSTED BY: Facing the Future, an independent program of Western Washington University

PROGRAM:
Over the course of the day, we will define energy literacy, consider the social, economic, and environmental impacts of different energy sources, learn about the development of aviation biofuels in the Pacific Northwest, and hear from experts in this field.
Participants will gain hands-on experience using lessons from Fueling Our Future: Exploring Sustainable Energy Use* and will each receive a copy of the interdisciplinary teacher's guide: elementary (grades 3-5), middle and high school versions available.
We'll wrap up the conference with an expert panel and interactive Q & A at 3 pm and a networking Happy Hour from 4-5pm!
